Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about FastLand and homebuilder research.

What is FastLand? +

FastLand is a research platform for tracking homebuilder activity across the United States. We aggregate data from major builders like D.R. Horton, Lennar, and Ryan Homes to help investors and real estate professionals discover new construction communities, compare builders, and find land opportunities.

How often is the data updated? +

Our automated scrapers run daily to pull the latest community data directly from builder websites. City ratings are recalculated after each scraping cycle. Land listings are aggregated from multiple sources and updated regularly.

What homebuilders do you track? +

We currently track D.R. Horton (2,400+ communities), Lennar (670+ communities), and Ryan Homes (430+ communities) — three of the largest homebuilders in America. We are continuously adding more builders to the platform.

What's included in the free plan? +

The free plan gives you access to the interactive map with limited city data, basic builder information, and a city ratings overview. Upgrade to Pro ($39/month) for full data access, detailed builder profiles, live land listings, and CSV data export.

How does the city investment rating work? +

Our proprietary scoring formula considers three factors: community count (weighted ×10), builder count (weighted ×20), and price index (weighted ×5). Scores are normalized to a 0-100 scale. Higher scores indicate more builder activity, greater builder diversity, and potentially stronger investment opportunities.

Can I export data from FastLand? +

Yes — Pro subscribers can export builder data, land listings, and city ratings to CSV format for offline analysis, presentations, or integration with other tools.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime? +

Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your billing page. You'll retain full access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.

How many states does FastLand cover? +

FastLand covers 40+ states across the United States wherever major homebuilders have active communities. Coverage is expanding as we add more builders and data sources.
